The Magic of White Flowers on a White Table

I am crazy in love with white flowers. When I bought my house in 2004 I planted a white lilac bush (which is now over 10 feet tall) and a little white hydrangea which has grown to 6 feet wide.

Furthermore, using white flowers on a white tabletop is one of the most dramatic design statements you can make.  Imagine dining in this amazing white garden!

I want to introduce you to one of my favorite photographer/stylists, Coty Farquhar. Her monthly online magazine called “Styling” features an article on white flowers which show cases her remarkable styling talents. The photos will blow you away, and I know you’ll get some ideas for your own garden and tabletop.

The table is accessorized with her favorite white things…the elephant, the shells, the crockery.

Yellow lemons float in an exquisite water pitcher.

Yellow butter is served up in delicate white shells….a color theme emerges…yes?

Pure white table linens gleam in the sun.

Simply green and white, as far as the eye can see. It’s a narrow color palette which always makes a dramatic statement. Consider narrowing down your color palette and see if you don’t feel the same way.
